Common Risks or Complications
1. “Lifting” of edges-caused by either insufficient or excessive grafting adhesive, or by tugging or pulling on the hair of your hair addition near the edges.
2. “Shifting” of grafted Invisible Hair™ Addition caused by redirecting while pressing or from applying too much pressure to the surface of hair addition while inadvertently moving the Hair Addition off the grafted area of the scalp.
3. “Grow Out”- caused by lack of pressing against scalp may occur particularly if client has medium density or thick density of hair per square inch.
Even though the risks and complications sited occur infrequently, all steps described below should be taken to avoid all common or uncommon risks. A thorough discussion and demonstration about client home care and avoidance of common risks should take place at the end of each application service appointment. A “1-week follow up visit” is advised with every new client, to pin point, troubleshoot and avoid possible bad habits that may inadvertently cause complications over the next several weeks.
